Amazon is announcing Prime Air, a program to deliver packages to customers in 30 minutes or less using unmanned aerial vehicles, otherwise known as drones. Deployment for Prime Air is not ready yet for prime time. "Putting Prime Air into commercial use will take some number of years as we advance the technology and wait for the necessary FAA rules and regulations," Amazon announced on its website. The program will cater to Amazon's Prime customers, who pay $79 for access to expedited shipping and video content.
