Police: Dead man had been lured to scene by ex-girlfriend

Scottsdale investigationInvestigators Friday night digging in the yard of a home in the Scottsdale neighborhood, where police are conducting a death investigation. The dismembered body found buried in plastic bags Friday in the backyard of a Southwest Side home belongs to a man whose ex-girlfriend had lured him there to his death, police sources said. The woman helped dismember the body, place body parts into plastic bags, and bury the bags in a hole that was dug behind the home by her 56-year-old relative, police said. Area Central detectives went to the Scottsdale Avenue address about 11 a.m. Friday to conduct a search warrant and were conducting a death investigation along with Area North detectives, police said.
